Event overview
Art Psychotherapy trainees present their artwork and provide insight into the field of art psychotherapy.
Immersed in working with relationships and imagination, MA Art Psychotherapy Students present their art practice which is a central part of the training. The exhibition includes a range of media, installations, film and performance work. It provides insight into the emotional and relational processes that are encountered in art psychotherapy. It invites the audience to engage in looking from this perspective - into the space in between – self and other.
On Friday 19 June 2.00-3.30pm a public seminar will be led by Dr Jill Westwood (Programme Convenor) and held in the Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre to reflect on the exhibition and to explore the dialogue between art and psychotherapy.
