Event overview
The one-day event for faith and secular organisations, local authorities and academics to explore the opportunities and challenges of youth work in Britain.
The conference aims to strategically address the shortfall in youth work provision by bringing together providers from the faith sector and community organisations, local authorities and universities. Siloed thinking and practice have proved inadequate to address the issues young people are facing every day – from mental health, poverty and inequality to the lack of opportunities for peer-led development and being treated as valued citizens.
The event will identify gaps in knowledge and understanding across faith and secular institutions, including the occlusion of faith-based contributions and celebrating best practice in partnership working across faith and secular actors.
