Event overview
The Pop-Up Campaign Shop will host activities that empower you to learn more about the impact Convoy’s Wharf Development will have in Deptford
Convoys Wharf is a huge new development on the banks of the River Thames, in Deptford. The developers, Convoys Properties Limited, plan to build 3,500 new homes, eighty five percent of which are planned for private sale.
Voice 4 Deptford says ‘Not on our watch!’
Each day there will be a series of specialist talks, demonstrations and workshops which will fill you in on aspects of the development. Programme available at the door.
Grand Opening at 5pm on 6 May, 2019 by Dr Roger Green, Director, Centre for Community Engagement Research, Goldsmiths, University of London. All welcome!
Standard Opening Hours:
Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 May, noon to 8.30pm. Friday 10 May, noon to 4.30pm.
Voice 4 Deptford is a partnership between Pepys Community Forum and the Centre for Community Engagement Research at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
It has four aims: social rented housing in every block and phase of Convoys Wharf; green and sustainable open spaces on the site; sufficient space for children both inside and outside the development’s buildings; a cultural strategy which matches the needs, aspirations and heritages of the people of Deptford.
